Some of us are gonna reach the end of their National Service term and advancing into their Operationally Ready Term real soon. Others, have just ended, going through or preparing for their exams. Some looking for jobs, some already working hard. Whoever or wherever you are, we hope everyone's doing great and in the pinkest of health!
I have a proposal, since it's nearing Ramadhan.. (ceyt!) I'm hoping that we could actually try something new by giving back to the society.. In preparations, there'll definitely be the gruesome spring cleanings.. And along the way, we'll find clothes that has never been worn, bought on impulse, that you've outgrown, or is out of trend now. It doesn't have to be yours, it can be your siblings' or parents'. What we have in abundance, others might not have enough or not at all. How about we ask around, our friends and families if they'd like to be part of this project, though the gesture is small, it can mean alot to those who needs it.
A slight summary of what this project is all about:
- Collecting pre-loved, wearable clothes to be donated
- I'm thinking of collaborating with some of my other friends elsewhere in contributing in a form of performances.
- Most importantly, sparing a little bit of our time chatting up with the kids,
and maybe be inspired by their smiles and energy.
Charity in my mind is Darul Ma'wa Children's home.
Trust me, i've been there, it touched my heart and that's the reason why i want to do this again.
